MainStreet Efficiency is an energy efficiency program for Tennessee Valley Authority’s small business customers within the Knoxville Utilities Board service territory. How It Works As a KUB customer, you may be eligible for this program being run by TVA. KUB business customers with a contract demand of no more than 50 kilowatts will receive a free lighting energy assessment with a report showing how your business could reduce energy use with specific efficient lighting upgrades. TVA is offering customers an additional incentive to offset the cost of recommended lighting retrofits.
Type of Lighting Changed Lighting upgrades could include replacement of existing fluorescent fixtures with higher efficiency lamps and ballasts; changing incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) or Light Emitting Diode (LEDs) lights; and upgrading exit signs to LED technology.
Program Eligibility Businesses within the KUB service territory with a contract demand of no more than 50 kw qualify for a free energy assessment and funding towards lighting upgrades.
